"That's why I began doing makeup in the first place: I was hoping that through helping people see the beauty in themselves, I could try and find it in me."
- Kevyn Aucoin

Take a look at my video below featuring my favorite lip products for tanned, medium-toned, brown skin complexions. Of course, many if not all of these colors will suit most skin tones as well, but I definitely like them on my complexion. I'm an NC40 by the ways!
Enjoy!

All in all, my favorite primer for eyes is definitely the Stila Primer Pot in Caramel! Please rush and go purchase it if you have EXTREMELY oily eye lids like myself!
As mentioned during my products sweep, here is my skin during the year:
Summer: Very oily Fall: Oily Winter: Combination to dry Spring: Combination to oily
My skincare routine is pretty simple. While it looks like I put a lot of stuff on my face, I don't use all of them during the day. The following is my routine for the fall.
Yesterday, my famz and I hit up Buffalo, NY for a small day of shopping. I went there on a mission... not for specific products, but on a mission to visit Target and ULTA, which we don't yet have here in Canada (at least, not to my knowledge).
Special shout out to having the MOST patient family ever!!!
Reviews for each product will come soon. Most of the products I haven't even opened!
Here's what I purchased...

Part 1 - Skincare Products Hoping you read my post below, which provides important resources on ingredients to avoid in your skincare and makeup products. It's important to note that the following products reflect my opinions, based on my skin (which is acne-prone). I've based my "sweep" based on the ingredients found on the two sites I listed below. Here's my skin during the year:
Summer: Very oily
Fall: Oily
Winter: Combination to dry
Spring: Combination to oily
I can't guarantee that the ingredients in the following products are really the source of my recent flare-ups, however I'd rather take extra precaution and rid myself of products that contain problematic ingredients.
Here are the products I've gotten rid of and reasons for discontinuing their use:
Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2: Contains denatured alcohol, witch hazel, and menthol: all gravely related to causing skin irritation.
Over the past few months, I've noticed my scarring from past acne vulgaris, getting much worse. While I've been able to rid myself of new acne eruptions since 2009 (from being on Accutane for 6 months), the scars are not going away. Unfortunately, in the past month, new eruptions have definitely started up again.
I ignored the worsening of the scars during the past few months and thought maybe the scars were due to dry skin in the wintertime, maybe stress, who knows. While stress is one of the causes for acne, I wasn't convinced that it was the sole reason for the worsening of these scars.
I turned to my makeup and my skincare products. Over the years, I've avoided products containing heavy perfume (irritant), oil (pore clogger), and alcohol (drying effects).
This time though, I dug deeper (no pun intended)...
My brother's visiting from out of town, so my dad and I decided to bring my bro downtown and kick it... We walked around... Hit up the beach for 20 minutes... It was too windy given Hurricane Irene was approaching the east coast, so we decided to come back home.
Nevertheless, here's the breakdown. Sorry, I liked the first pic better, but the bottom one gives a better snapshot.
