Today marks the end of a very holy month! This morning, my family and I attended a local community get-together...
Given it was so early in the morning, I didn't want to get all glamoured up, so here's a casual outfit.
This is called a shalwar kameez and derives from both Persian and Arabic languages. Women accompany this outfit with a dupatta, which is a scarf/shawl worn across the body, or shoulder, and often wrapped around the head during religious gatherings. SO VERSATILE!
In simpler terms, it's a long shirt (short or long-sleeved) worn above loosely-fit pants, accompanied by a scarf!
The outfit is about eight years old. Fashion from South Asia is obviously more mainstream now and more widely available in Western societies, thus more fashionable than this outfit here.
As for makeup, I wanted to keep it relatively simple for the morning.
